Golden Leaf Energy (GLE) is one of Dr. Calvin Mackie’s many entrepreneurial endeavors. As a partner in charge of Government Affairs and Business Development, Dr. Mackie helps to promote and distribute the ethanol fuel blend E85, which is comprised of 85% ethanol and 15% regular gasoline. E85 is a clean energy that protects America’s long-term environmental and economic interests. By using E85 to power flex-fuel vehicles, we can reduce carbon emissions and put our country on the road to energy independence.

GLE understands that in order for Americans to power their vehicles using alternative fuel, it must be available to them. When alternative fuel is absent from an area, it is impossible for drivers to be environmentally friendly even if they want to. To fix this problem, GLE partners with gas station owners, car dealerships, government agencies, and other clean energy organizations to distribute E85. The company provides these companies with build-outs to install ethanol-ready pumps, then provides them with the alternative fuel. In this manner, E85 is being made accessible to people all over the country.

In the near future, GLE will be producing ethanol from waste sugar and alcohol products. GLE also produces biodiesel from waste and yellow grease, and distributes it to numerous commercial clients. GLE is reducing waste in landfills while providing clean biofuels for the nation. Currently, GLE is exclusive alternative fuel supplier for the federal fleet cars in the state of Louisiana.
